"I broke my foot September 2, of this year. The ER referred me to Advanced Orthopedic Specialists. I saw Dr. Ritter the following day, and I described my accident to him. I woke up in the middle of the night, something I never do, and my arm was numb, like it was asleep. When I stood up to take a step, my right leg was also numb, and I fell and broke my foot. Dr. Ritter questioned me extensively about the accident and then asked, "Why do you think your right side was completely numb?" That thought had never entered my mind! He called my family physician and they made an appointment for me. I had suffered a TIA, or a mini stroke! I had all the tests ran and am now on medication to lower my risk for stroke. My foot is getting better every day, and Dr. Ritter says it's healing great. I'm so thankful for that, but more so, I am thankful that he took the time to get to the cause of my accident, and probably saved my life." -- Dana W.
