"I am a nurse, so obviously I need to be able to walk. I’ve had pain in my knees for many years and have had surgery on both knees for torn cartilage. My knees have progressively gotten worse. So I came to see Dr. Schafer under the assumption that he was going to have to do surgery. He looked at the x-rays and to my surprise and delight, told me that surgery was not necessary at this time. He gave me a shot of cortisone in my right knee. One month later, he gave me a gel shot to right knee and cortisone to left. He even fit me in while I was home because I am a traveling nurse so time is limited. I would never consider seeing anyone else." -- Pam R.
